Disney released additional details about one of the new vacation options available from Adventures by Disney. Let’s take a closer look at the new Colombian adventure.
Adventure by Disney Colombia Details
Hike through the Cocora Valley, make arepas and tour historic Cartagena. Guests will explore the land that provided inspiration for Walt Disney Animation Studio’s “Encanto.”
This eight-day, seven-night trip begins in the capital city of Bogotá. Guests will explore the Paloquemao Market where they’ll see a wide variety of flowers and vibrant fruits and vegetables available.
Disney adds that guests will “sample the unique fruits and learn about the healing properties of medicinal herbs.” In addition, guests will enjoy some hands-on learning by crafting their own arepas. Finally, adventurers will experience a tour of the Gold Museum, which has more than 34,000 pieces of pre-Hispanic gold.
Guests will then make a trip out to a fourth-generation coffee farm in the Coffee Region. During this private tour, visitors get to hear about harvesting and roasting the beans, as well as brewing the perfect cup of coffee. Guests will need the energy, because next up is a visit Salento to learn tejo, Colombia’s national sport.
Afterwards, along the Caribbean coast and Cartagena, guests will experience a private interactive visit with the Proyecto Titi Foundation where they learn about and visit with cotton-top tamarins. After hearing more about the Disney Conservation Fund, adventurers will get to help a local farmer plant some of the tamarin’s favorite foods.
While in Cartagena, guests will also indulge in a walking tour of the Getsemani Neighborhood, known for its colorful murals and buildings. Included along this tour is the San Felipe de Barejas Fort, one of the largest Spanish colonial fortresses which protected the city from pirates.
Finally, guests will visit Cartagena’s Rosario Islands. The Rosario Islands are a collection of 27 islands and home to more than 1,300 species of marine animals and plants. Guests may opt to snorkel through the shallow reefs.

Pricing for this adventure starts at $4,999 per adult for an 8-day, 7-night vacation. The suggested age is 8 or older, but guests 5 and older are permitted to join the adventure. 17 meals are included in the price.
