REVIEW: Jubilee By the Sea 25th Anniversary Cocktail with Recipe Bookmark and Coaster on Disney Cruise Line Ships

We’re celebrating the Silver Anniversary at Sea on the Disney Wish. This celebration honors the 25th anniversary of the Disney Magic’s maiden voyage with special experiences, food and beverages, and merchandise. Lounges on the Disney Cruise Line ships are now serving the signature 25th anniversary cocktail, Jubilee by the Sea. We picked it up at The Rose and Nightingale’s on the Wish.

Jubilee By the Sea – $12.50

The cocktail combines 818 Blanco Tequila, Luxardo Maraschino, and lemon juice. It has a sparkly, silver dusting and a shimmering blue sugar rim, representing the colors of the Silver Anniversary at Sea.

The Jubilee by the Sea is pretty but unfortunately isn’t the best to drink. It feels like a strange take on a margarita. It’s tart and sweet, but you can taste the alcohol and it’s a nice pour of it. The biggest downside is that glitter will be on you for days and your teeth will temporarily turn blue.

The Jubilee by the Sea comes with a recipe bookmark, which makes for a nice souvenir or scrapbooking material.

An even nicer souvenir is the pleather coasters being used on Silver Anniversary at Sea voyages. These teal blue coasters are debossed with the silver 25th anniversary logo and Disney Cruise Line logo. Bartenders were letting guests take these home.

Disney Cruise Line is celebrating 25 years of sailing with the Silver Anniversary at Sea celebration on select sailings from May through September 2023. The first Disney Cruise Line ship, Disney Magic, began its maiden voyage on July 30, 1998.

Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie are wearing new shimmering teal and white costumes for the anniversary celebration. The rest of their friends also have new costumes.

On one evening per voyage, guests are invited to the Shimmering Seas Soirée which includes free cocktails for a toast with the cruise director. Mickey, Minnie, and their friends also appear during this soirée for meet and greets. Check out our video of the soirée below.

The Silver Anniversary at Sea’s theme song is used during a special sail away pre-show and is now available to stream.

Disney Cruise Line was the first cruise line ever to have a fireworks show at sea. A new 25th-anniversary fireworks display will be featured on some Silver Anniversary at Sea itineraries. The limited-time show features iconic Disney music and the new signature song. The show will be on most Bahamian, Caribbean, and Mediterranean sailings this summer.

The anniversary of Disney Cruise Line also heralds the unveiling of a brand-new membership tier for Castaway Club, which recognizes returning Disney Cruise Line guests with exclusive rewards and perks. Honoring 25 years of Disney magic at sea, members will now earn the distinction of Pearl status after 25 Disney Cruise Line vacations. As the line’s biggest fans, Pearl members will unlock new at-home and onboard benefits. Check out the new Castaway Club lanyards and stateroom gifts.

Castaway Club members on Silver Anniversary at Sea sailings will also receive a print of Captain Mickey artwork by Joe Kaminski.

The Shimmering Seas Collection of merchandise includes a Loungefly mini backpack, Spirit Jersey, and more. Check out some of the 25th anniversary merchandise and the Silver Anniversary pin.

There are also plenty of Silver Anniversary-inspired food and beverage items. Souvenirs include a popcorn bucket, a tumbler, and a beer mug.

MagicBand+ will also debut on Disney Cruise Line this summer.
