Cinderella Castle Dream Lights at the Magic Kingdom Will Not Return for 2023 Holiday Season

The classic Cinderella Castle Dream Lights will not be illuminating the castle at the Magic Kingdom this year.

The lights, which gave the castle the illusion of being covered in snow and icicles are not expected to return this year. Internal discussions have mentioned that there are no plans to bring them back going forward. The lighting package previously ran from 2007 to 2019.

The Dream Lights were not set to return last year due to the decor strewn about Cinderella Castle for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration either. Full plans are expected to be announced tomorrow for the holidays at Walt Disney World, which will include the return of the castle projections rather than the Dream Lights.

You can watch the holiday version of the Beacon of Magic show from the past two years below.
