Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Resorts & Experiences, is now appearing in a message on Disney resort TVs.

We saw this on a Walt Disney World Resort TV, but it’s made in such a way that it could play at any Disney resort, Disney Cruise Line ship, or other experience. D’Amaro welcomes guests on their “Disney adventure” and talks about the company’s 100th anniversary. Clips from Disney Parks and experiences around the world, including Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, and Disney Cruise Line play as part of a montage. We also noticed a clip of lightsaber training from Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, which will be shuttered soon.
Josh D’Amaro
Josh D’Amaro joined The Walt Disney Company in 1998 after a stint in the finance department of The Gillette Company. From 1998 to 2008, D’Amaro was president of sales and travel trade marketing for Disney. Within that period, from 2005 to 2006, he was also a director of business planning and strategy development.
He was named chief financial officer of Disney Consumer Products Licensing in 2008. In 2010, he became VP of Adventures by Disney, then serving as VP of Disney’s Animal Kingdom from 2013 to 2014 while Pandora – The World of “Avatar” was in development. D’Amaro eventually became senior VP of Resort & Transportation Operations at Walt Disney World Resort.
In 2017, D’Amaro was promoted to CCO of the Walt Disney World Resort. Only a year later, he became President of Disneyland Park. A year and a half later, he moved back to Florida as President of Walt Disney World Resort.
As the COVID-19 pandemic rolled around in 2020, Bob Chapek was named Bob Iger’s replacement as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, and D’Amaro was promoted to Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences & Products. During this time, it was also reported that Josh D’Amaro almost resigned from his position due to the leadership of Chapek, before a surprise shakeup brought Iger back.
