Minion Land has soft opened at Universal Studios Florida, meaning guests can enjoy some of the land’s new experiences during a technical rehearsal period. We stopped by the Pop-A-Nana popcorn stand to review the new banana popcorn.
Pop-A-Nana Popcorn Stand
Pop-A-Nana is located at the far end of the land closest to Battery Park.
Pop-A-Nana also offers regular popcorn. Souvenir buckets are $29.99 or $38. Banana popcorn refills with a bucket are $3.93. You can use any Universal popcorn bucket. There are also two previously released Minion buckets for sale here.
Minions Selfie Stick Popcorn Bucket – $29.99
This bucket features Bob the Minion, who has one green eye and one brown eye. His teddy bear Tim sits on his head. Click here for more photos.
Minions Car Popcorn Bucket – $38
The design includes three adorable Minions up to their usual shenanigans. The car is littered with stamps and stickers that feature iconic moments from the Despicable Me series. Click here for more photos.
The specialty drinks, PX-41 Punch and The Antidote, are also available at Minion Café. There’s a small selection of beers, plus fountain beverages.
Banana Popcorn – $6.69
Watch our video review below and keep reading for photos and details.
If you don’t get a souvenir bucket, popcorn just comes in a Universal Parks & Resorts container.
The popcorn is coated, but not as heavily as most candied popcorns come.
It’s an artificial banana, but it’s so good.
We highly recommend this.
Banana popcorn is also available at Universal Studios Japan.
Minion Land at Universal Studios Florida
Minion Land takes over most of Production Central, transforming it into Illumination Avenue. Minion Café replaces the former Universal Studios’ Classic Monsters Cafe and is joined by Bake My Day, Freeze Ray Pops, and Pop-A-Nana. Take a full tour of Minion Café. Check out all of the Bake My Day merchandise and treats.
The attractions are the pre-existing Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and the upcoming Villain-Con Minion Blast. The façade of Despicable Me Minion Mayhem was recently refurbished.
Minions and other Illumination characters have meet-and-greets outside Illumination Theater.
The back of the Transformers: The Ride show building has been painted teal blue to match the new land.
An entirely different Minion Land also exists at Universal Studios Beijing. Meanwhile, Minion Park is yet another separate land at Universal Studios Japan, with a clone under construction at Universal Studios Singapore. A version of Minion Café exists at Universal Studios Hollywood.
