RUMOR: Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Host Hard-Ticket Holiday Event

According to WDWMAGIC, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will host a hard-ticket holiday event this year akin to an After Hours event or Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

The Disney’s Hollywood Studios holiday event will reportedly have special entertainment, including a version of “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” The nighttime spectacular featuring Wayne and Lanny from “Prep & Landing” was last performed in 2019, before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This rumored event would be announced on June 15, during Disney’s annual #HalfwayToTheHolidays celebration. The teaser image for June 15 announcements features The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, the Disney’s Hollywood Studios icon, on the tips of snowflakes.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios usually celebrates the holidays with classic decorations, including Santa Gertie and Toy Story Land displays. Toy Story Land characters also wear holiday accessories. For the last few years, Santa Claus has appeared in his own cavalcade. And in the evenings, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is lit up for Sunset Seasons.

Halfway to the Holidays

Halfway to the Holidays is from June 13 through 15, featuring limited-time treats at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. During these dates, Disney will “give you a taste of the season with announcements.”

These announcements will likely include details about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the separately ticketed holiday event that takes place at Magic Kingdom each winter.

Disney will also probably make announcements regarding the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure, and Disney Cruise Line holiday offerings.
