The timeline is running out in the new “Loki” season 2 trailer. The series premieres on Disney+ on October 6, 2023.
The trailer introduces Ke Huy Quan’s character OB and sees the return of several “Loki” season 1 stars. A poster was released a few days ago.
The “Loki” TV series is based on the popular Marvel Cinematic Universe character portrayed by Tom Hiddleston. “Loki” season 1 debuted on June 9, 2021, and consisted of six episodes.
The series takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Spoiler alert: after the “Avengers” version of Loki steals the Tesseract in “Avengers: Endgame,” that Loki variant is brought to the Time Variance Authority (TVA). The organization exists outside of time and space as we know it, monitoring the timeline.
A Disney+ promotional video showed a peek at season 2, while leaked set photos revealed a new costume for Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie. In addition to the returning Hiddleston, Di Martino, Owen Wilson (Mobius), and Wunmi Mosaku (Hunter B-15), Ke Huy Quan (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”) will be joining the cast.
Exclusive footage was shown at the D23 Expo last year but is unavailable online. According to Empire Magazine, the footage featured Loki back at the TVA and being pulled through time as he tries to warn everyone about Kang. Mobius and Hunter B-15 still don’t recognize him. It will connect to Marvel’s ongoing multiverse saga.
