Flavors of Florida has returned to Disney Springs this summer, and D-Luxe Burger has brought back the Lime Garage burger and Orange Bird shake.
The burger debuted last year alongside the Orange Garage burger, in reference to two of the parking garages at Disney Springs. Disney fans sometimes squabble about which garage is superior, and the burgers had a “showdown” in reference. It seems like the Lime Garage Burger won, since the Orange Garage burger did not return this year.
Orange Bird Shake – $7.50
Vanilla gelato blended with orange syrup, whipped cream, and sprinkles
This is a basic creamsicle shake, but creamier due to the gelato.
This has a bit more of an artificial taste, too, thanks to the orange syrup used in place of juice.
It was a little too sweet for our liking, but it could be a good evening snack.
Lime Garage Burger – $13.49
Two-pressed signature-blend patties, citrus-braised pork belly, lime-avocado crema, pepper jack, fried green tomatoes, and lettuce
The pork belly was salty, dry, and tough.
The flavors were decent, but could have benefitted from a better sauce.
The flavor profile was limited. It just felt like it was missing something.
Ultimately, neither of these were a hit, so maybe skip D-Luxe Burger if you’re looking for the best limited-time Flavors of Florida food.
