Disco Minions Popcorn Bucket Dances into Universal Orlando Resort

A new disco-stylized Minions souvenir popcorn bucket is ready to boogie at the Universal Orlando Resort, and we took a break from the disco inferno of Florida heat outside to check it out.

Disco Minions Popcorn Bucket – $29.99

We spotted this at the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk, just past Cinnabon on the right-hand side when entering the area and before Voodoo Doughnut when heading in the direction of the Universal Studios Florida entrance.

Our shadow dancing partner is $29.99, with the first fill of popcorn included for free.

The back top of the head is where this figure opens up for the popcorn.

An adjustable lanyard is also attached for easier carry throughout the day.

“Disco fever” is written on the lanyard, while the minion strikes a dancing pose with a cheerful smile and multi-colored eyes.

If you purchase this bucket and it begins to look not-so-chic after excessive use, the disco clothes are removable so the bucket itself can be washed. Standard Minions work overalls are underneath.

Minion Land at Universal Studios Florida

minion land opens 9983

Minion Land is taking over most of Production Central at the entrance of Universal Studios Florida, transforming it into Illumination Avenue. Minion Café replaces the former Universal Studios’ Classic Monsters Cafe and is joined by Bake My Day, Freeze Ray Pops, and Pop-A-Nana.

Take a full tour of Minion Café and read our review of the full menu. Plus, read our review of Pop-A-Nana’s banana popcorn.

Check out all of the Bake My Day merchandise and treats, too.

Illumination's minion land concept art

The attractions in this new area are the pre-existing Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and the upcoming Villain-Con Minion Blast. The façade of Despicable Me Minion Mayhem was recently refurbished.

Minions and other Illumination characters now have meet-and-greets outside Illumination Theater, while the back of the Transformers: The Ride show building was recently painted teal blue to match the new land.

An entirely different Minion Land also exists at Universal Studios Beijing. Meanwhile, Minion Park is yet another separate land at Universal Studios Japan, with a clone under construction at Universal Studios Singapore. A version of Minion Café exists at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Does a popcorn refill in one of these souvenir buckets help you stay alive in the night fever that comes after a long day at Universal? Let us know how deep your love is for this latest design in the comments.
