Street dancers and additional character performers have returned to Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade: DreamLights after a long absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of the performers also have new and refreshed costumes.

Instagram user Genki (@ogennnsan) provided us with photos of the returning performers.

Although Tokyo Disney Resort ended most physical distancing protocols last year — with character hugs finally returning this May — dancers had yet to return to Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade: DreamLights and most of the parade floats did not have all of their previous characters.

Completely new to the parade are colorful dancing teacups in front of the Cheshire Cat float.

There are also new dancers inspired by the Wonderland flowers.

The “Alice in Wonderland” unit is followed by the Tinker Bell float, featuring several of Tink’s fairy friends. This float was previously suspended.

The little green men from “Toy Story” are once again skating around in front of the “Toy Story” float. These performers wear glowing figures of the aliens on their backs.

After the “Aladdin” unit (which is unchanged), Flynn and Rapunzel have been reunited on the “Tangled” float. Only Rapunzel has been appearing at the base of her tower.

The “Frozen” unit is followed by glowing petal dancers. They are returning, but their costumes are updated to be more vibrant with brighter lights.

Behind them is the steamboat float. Daisy and Donald are back together on the front of the float, while the Three Little Pigs are on the back. Since the parade’s return, Daisy and Donald have been distanced, while the pigs have been absent entirely.

They are followed by Chip and Dale in pilot uniforms on an airship float. From 2021 to now, Pluto was on this float instead.
