The walls surrounding the impending site of Chucky’s Twisted Playground in the lobby building of Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort now sport attraction-specific branding as its September 1 start date rapidly approaches.

The branding features a photo of Chucky staring menacingly at guests as they pass by. We see signage for Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort faded out in the background on either side of the doll.

“Based on the hit TV series ‘Chucky'” is printed underneath the official Chucky’s Twisted Playground Logo, with the logos for USA Network, Syfy, and Peacock present below that. The series, named after and centering around everyone’s favorite killer doll, premiered in late 2021 and airs on both USA Network and Syfy. Both networks are owned by NBCUniversal.

The Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights logo also appears along the walls, always accompanied by the “StayInHorror” hashtag. This experience will take place in the Fun in the Sun Rec Center, located on the second floor of the lobby building at Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort. The circular windows that typically allow guests to look through the doors and into the recreational center have been blocked by official Chucky’s Twisted Playground logos.

To the side of the rec center entryway is a sign that reads “Activation Coming Soon.” The experience is set to run from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. September 1 through November 4. It’s only available for Universal Orlando Resort hotel guests with valid hotel key cards.

Chucky’s Twisted Playground will be a “photo illusion” experience. It was announced alongside the full list of Halloween Horror Nights 32 houses and scare zones in late July. This is not the first time that a Chucky-oriented photo op will be available during Halloween Horror Nights, as guests have, in years past, had the opportunity to have their photo taken inside the Good Guys box that Chucky dolls are sold in.

A Chucky-focused Haunted House dubbed “Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count” will be present at Halloween Horror Nights 32 at Universal Studios Florida. Universal describes the frightening experience as “a new gorefest” that will place you in opposition to the doll: “you and your friends must try to survive his ultimate kill count.” The haunted house will also be offered at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The Fun in the Sun Rec Center is often turned into photo opportunities/experiences during Halloween Horror Nights. It was transformed into a Universal Monsters-centric experience titled “Universal Monsters: Gallery of Legends” for Halloween Horror Nights 31 in 2022. The “Jack’d Up Experience” featuring Jack the Clown, one of Halloween Horror Nights’ most popular characters, ran during Halloween Horror Nights 30 in 2021.
