Spooky season is officially underway at Walt Disney World, and you can now grab some useful trick-or-treat tools to help celebrate. Mickey and Minnie Halloween candy buckets are available at Magic Kingdom, each including a special seasonal treat.
New Mickey & Minnie Candy Buckets
We found these at the Emporium at Magic Kingdom nestled alongside some other new Halloween merchandise. The area surrounding the store recently received a Halloween makeover, as we spotted Mickey jack-o’-lantern wreaths on Main Street U.S.A. on August 9. The newly introduced candy buckets look like miniature versions of these festive decorations.
Mickey Mouse Halloween Candy Bucket – $10.99
The Mickey bucket is a vivid orange hue, and the striking color is complemented by shades of yellow and black. The container is meant to look like a carved pumpkin, with the yellow illuminating through Mickey’s eyes, nose, and smile giving the illusion of a candle.
There are solid plastic ears on either side of the bucket, and it’s hold-able via a black plastic handle. “Happy Halloween” is printed on the back of the container in a spooky teal script.
The Mickey bucket even comes pre-stocked with candy. In an inclusion that will delight some and disgust others, each bucket contains a small bag of candy corn, the love-it-or-hate-it seasonal treat that Disney has celebrated in the past.
Minnie Mouse Haloween Candy Bucket – $10.99
The Minnie bucket is visually similar to the Mickey container. The color palettes are identical, with Minnie’s winking face and the yellow plastic bow attached to her left ear being the only things differentiating the front of this bucket from its counterpart.
“Ghouls Night Out” is printed on the back of the bucket in a yellow version of the same festive font.
The Minnie bucket also comes with a bag of candy corn.
Halloween at Walt Disney World
The Halloween facelift of Magic Kingdom started in late July. We spotted large jack-o’-lanterns in front of the park’s entrance gates, and there are scarecrows at the front of and down Main Street U.S.A.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom serves as Walt Disney World’s primary autumn celebration. This year’s festivities run from August 11–November 1, with several dates already selling out.
The after-hours events offer exclusive food and entertainment options, including the twice-nightly Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, hosted by Jack Skellington from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
This event is a great time to put your new candy buckets to use. Trick-or-treating is offered during these events, and you can find a full list of the participating locations here. The parties also serve as a great opportunity to interact with not-often-seen characters or beloved classics wearing their finest, and sometimes funniest, Halloween costumes.
