There were also a few on the display when we found it. We know it has sold out in other parts of the resort, so if you want it, you’ll have to grab it fast.

EPCOT Figment Pin

This new open edition pin features the EPCOT logo set against a black background, with Figment peeking over the “O”. A variety of symbols, some looking like the updated EPCOT icons, are also present in shades of purple, pink, yellow and red.

Figment Meet and Greet at EPCOT

A new Figment meet and greet is scheduled to come to EPCOT before summer ends. Most recently, a permit was filed for the “installation of scenic items” at the Imagination! Pavilion for it.

This meet and greet will allow guest to meet Figment at his pavilion, though no other details have been revealed. However, Disney did say that guests would be able to hug Figment, so it’s likely that he will appear as a costume character like he has in the past.

Figment was once available as a meet and greet character many years ago. His popularity has only grown since, as evidenced by the frenzy over his popcorn bucket in 2022 and its subsequent return this year. He’s also frequently featured on merchandise, particularly for EPCOT festivals, and sometimes on runDisney medals.

The famous purple dragon was first introduced in 1983 in Journey Into Imagination. Figment and the mystical Dreamfinder helped riders learn to explore and appreciate the limitless power and potential of their own creative minds.

He and his attraction have had a rough few decades. There have been three immensely different iterations of the ride to varying degrees of success, failure, love, and pure, loathsome hatred. Generally, the public regards the original version as overwhelmingly superior, the second as one of the worst attractions of all time, with the third and current design somewhere in between. Read our full and in-depth Journey Into Imagination and Figment history.
