Universal Orlando Releases Operational Update Regarding Hurricane Idalia, Team Members to Report to Work as Scheduled

Universal Orlando Resort has shared a new operational update ahead of Hurricane Idalia, which is expected to hit Florida’s west coast as a Category 3 hurricane on Wednesday.

Universal Orlando Shares Hurricane Idalia Update

In an email to Team Members, Universal Orlando shared that they were continuing to monitor Hurricane Idalia and its path.

As a result of the hurricane’s path veering north and away from the Orlando area, Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay are planning to open and operate as normal at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30 — the day that the hurricane is expected to make landfall on the Gulf Coast. Early Park Admission will not be available.

In addition, Team Members are asked to report to work as scheduled, though those who have extenuating circumstances can reach out to their manager for assistance.
