If you’re not interested in doing Halloween Horror Nights, or if you want something to do during the day before things get really scary, check out the Lil’ Boo Trick or Seek scavenger hunt available throughout Universal Orlando Resort. Universal has been hosting an annual Halloween scavenger hunt for years, but this is the first time it’s fully themed to Lil’ Boo. Merchandise locations throughout Universal Orlando Resort sell maps for the hunt with an ornament featuring Lil’ Boo. Just look for the hidden Lil’ Boo figure in each store (no, it’s not the flat one next to the Trick or Seek signs) to complete the scavenger hunt.
The scavenger hunt doesn’t just take place in Universal Studios Florida — it’s also in the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk and stores in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Ask a Team Member at the counter to purchase a map.
Lil’ Boo’s Trick or Seek Scavenger Hunt Map – $13
The folded map resembles a children’s book featuring Lil’ Boo the jack-o’-lantern on the front cover. A bat and crow are above him.
On the back is information about the scavenger hunt. There are 13 retail locations where Lil’ Boo is hiding.
Inside is a map of the locations. You’ll need to match Lil’ Boo to the icons at the bottom to complete a secret phrase.
You get your “prize” when you purchase the map. It’s a clear ornament with Lil’ Boo standing next to a crow amid thorny vines. “Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights” is on a full moon behind him.
The ornament has a black ribbon.
It comes with a piece of paper attached so the design is more visible when buying, but the ornament is see-through.
Now we’ll show you where Lil’ Boo is hiding in some of the stores, so don’t keep scrolling if you want to complete the scavenger hunt without any hints.
Universal Studios Store, CityWalk
The “pumpkin seeds” flat sign in each store features the icon you need to match up on the map to figure out the secret phrase. So the gravestone icon is in the Universal Studios Store at CityWalk. The store is number 13 on the map and the icon is the letter L.
The hidden Lil’ Boo figure is in a white map outfit to blend in with the wall of this candy display.
Universal Legacy Store, CityWalk
We had to really search the Legacy Store before we finally found Lil’ Boo — he’s in the glowing green fly pod.
Universal Studios Store, Universal Studios Florida
In the Universal Studios Store at Universal Studios Florida, you’ll find the bat icon.
Have you seen Lil’ Boo?
He’s in a clever hiding spot behind the cash registers, painted white and black to blend in with the framed behind-the-scenes photos on the wall.
Five and Dime, Universal Studios Florida
You may notice this store also has the gravestone icon, meaning the letter L is in the secret phrase twice. Five and Dime is number 2 on the map, so L stands in for both 13 and 2 in the phrase.
Lil’ Boo was in another good hiding spot here. The Creature From the Black Lagoon is distracting, but if you look down, you may see the jack-o’-lantern.
He’s hiding under the table, behind fish nets.
MIB Gear
Over at MIB Gear, you’ll spot the witch’s hat icon, which corresponds to the letter U.
Lil’ Boo isn’t quite as hidden here.
He’s dressed himself up as a green alien in a black trench coat and stands next to some similarly green and black decorations.
We haven’t completed the scavenger hunt yet, but let us know where else you find Lil’ Boo in the comments below!
Lil’ Boo Trick or Seek will be available through November 4, the last night of Halloween Horror Nights 32.
