BREAKING: New Nighttime Show ‘The Heartbeat of New Orleans — A Living Mural’ Coming to Rivers of America at Disneyland Park

Disneyland has announced a new nighttime entertainment offering coming later this month to the Rivers of America at Disneyland Park.

The Heartbeat of New Orleans — A Living Mural at Rivers of America

Rivers of America Disneyland 2023 8

Starting September 29, this new, limited time offering will tell a short, whimsical tale of a mischievous little frog from the bayou that leaps into the lively heartbeat of New Orleans when he is lured by the jazzy sounds he hears in the distance.

Set to a jazz score and utilizing projections, this art installation will animate original artwork by Disney Live Entertainment graphic designer Marcella “Marci” Swett, best known for her chalk art at Downtown Disney District during Celebrate Soulfully.

Queenie and the Jambalaya Jazz Band on Rivers of America

“The Heartbeat of New Orleans — A Living Mural” and Queenie and the Jambalaya Jazz Band will perform at the Rivers of America on select evenings this fall, and will run nightly through the holiday season. Queenie and the Jambalaya Jazz Band has been the alternative entertainment option in the wake of the temporary closure of Fantasmic!, after the massive Maleficent dragon caught fire during a show in April 2023.
