If you’re looking to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” Disneyland Resort just released a commemorative souvenir for the occasion. This Mayor’s car bucket was first exclusive to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, but is now available at Disneyland.
The Mayor’s car comes with popcorn at most locations but may also come with cotton candy for a small up-charge.
Tim Burton’s ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ Mayor’s Car Bucket – $29.75
Includes regular popcorn at time of purchase
The base of the popcorn bucket is the Mayor’s car. The entire car is painted black. Of course, the Mayor can be seen in the front, driving his car.
The Mayor’s seat is orange, as are curtains around the back of the car.
A giant striped horn is on top, which the Mayor uses to make announcements to all of Halloween Town. The headlights are light-up jack-o’-lanterns.
Shock (of Lock, Shock, and Barrel) is in the back of the car, holding up a mask.
Barrel is on the other side, also holding his mask.
Jack’s ghost dog, Zero, floats above Barrel.
Lock is lounging at the top of the car, near the horn.
The car’s wheels actually move and as you roll it, the Mayor’s head flips around to show his two different facial expressions.
The vampire teddy bear peeks out of the back window, between two lanterns.
There’s a switch on the bottom for the light effect.
The bucket part is on the top. Lock acts as a handle to lift up the lid.
The inside of the bucket is orange.
The lanyard for the bucket is black and features the logo of the movie.
Between the film’s logo are images of the Mayor and white bats.
There is a limit of two per person per transaction for this bucket. For guests looking to purchase the bucket while visiting Disneyland Park, it can be found at the Popcorn cart near Haunted Mansion and New Orleans Square Outdoor Vending Cart. For those visiting Disney California Adventure, it is available at the Popcorn near Carthay Circle Restaurant, Popcorn at Grizzly Peak Airfield, Popcorn at Pixar Pier, and Outdoor Vending.
