EPCOT is finally putting the old Traveler’s Café Starbucks location to use as the new Swirled Showcase Global Marketplace. Swirled Showcase is one of four new Global Marketplaces opening late in the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and is expected to stay open through the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. In a recent Disney Parks Blog post, Disney listed the other three Global Marketplaces as opening on September 22 but Swirling Showcase just as “Coming soon,” so it may open later.
Traveler’s Café Becomes Swirled Showcase
The Traveler’s Café near the front of World Showcase was used as the park’s temporary Starbucks location during the construction of Connections Café. It closed when the new, permanent Starbucks opened and hasn’t been used since. In early June, construction walls went up around the small building and its repainted exterior was revealed in July.
Now “Swirled Showcase” and “Soft Serve Delights” signs are above the windows.
The façade was previously black, but was painted light green with yellow detailing.
Some green construction walls remain up around the planter to the side of the building.
Another Swirled Showcase sign was installed on the side.
Behind the short construction walls, we just saw some green paneling.
Swirled Showcase will feature Mickey-shaped Liquid Nitro Cake.

The 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival runs through November 8. The 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will begin on November 24 and run through December 30.
