Recently, Disneyland Resort posted casting calls for various performers, including in-line skaters. New reports suggest that this is actually for a new parade, set to debut in summer 2024.

Casting for New Parade at Disneyland Resort

Also earlier this month, Disneyland put out another casting call, this time for performers who specialize in inline skating. While the audition posting does not share more about what the inline skaters are for, it does say that they are casting for a “unique experience.”

Disneyland also put out a recent casting call for dancers, though this could possibly be for “A Christmas Fantasy Parade,” which returns to the park on November 10.

If these reports are true, it stands that Disneyland Resort is in the throes of casting a new parade. Though this is certainly subject to change, the parade is rumored to debut sometime in summer 2024 and would be held at Disney California Adventure, not replacing the relatively new Magic Happens at Disneyland Park.

Parades at Disneyland Resort

Currently, the only daytime parade at the resort is “Magic Happens,” which is scheduled to move down to one performance daily on weekdays in October before making way for “A Christmas Fantasy Parade,” returning this holiday season. It has been several years since a full daytime parade has been held at Disney California Adventure.

At Disney California Adventure, guests attending Oogie Boogie Bash can enjoy the Frightfully Fun Parade, which runs through October 31, 2023. After that, the next “parade” to hit the streets of Disney California Adventure will be the very short Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession, which returns in January 2024.
