UPDATE: Real Bear in a Tree Reportedly Causes Adventureland, Frontierland, and Liberty Square to Fail to Open With the Park

After this morning’s delayed opening of three Magic Kingdom lands at Walt Disney World, it now appears that a bear inside the park is reportedly the cause of the issue.

According to WDWMagic, unconfirmed reports state that a bear is in a tree located near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland.

Bear in a Tree Reportedly Closes Half of Magic Kingdom

As we shared this morning, Cast Members are stationed at the entrances to Adventureland and Liberty Square, preventing guests from entering the western half of Magic Kingdom.

At the time of press, the following attractions are “temporarily closed”:

  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Walt Disney World Railroad – Frontierland
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
  • Jungle Cruise
  • The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
  • Swiss Family Treehouse
  • The Hall of Presidents
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid
