VIDEO: Sneak Peek at This Year’s Haunted Mansion Holiday Gingerbread Display at Disneyland Park

Disney has shared a sneak peek at this year’s gingerbread display inside Haunted Mansion Holiday at Disneyland Park ahead of its return to the park today for the Halloween season.

In the video, which was shared as a Reel to the Disney Eats account, various work-in-progress shots of the display were shared.

This year’s display will be modeled into the mausoleum of “Von Ginger,” with the ghost himself waiting inside.

This year’s display will be 11 feet tall and 6 feet wide.

This mausoleum is made of pounds of gingerbread and 150 pounds of royal icing to decorate and hold it all together.

You can see the royal icing here, as well as some green “moss” decoration to add an aged look.

A pair of ghoulish specters spin above the top of the display, and are also made of gingerbread.

Here’s a glimpse at a Cast Member in action piping the royal icing onto the structure.

To thank the Cast Members who poured countless hours into building this display, their names are included on the side of the mausoleum.

Inside, Von Ginger is waiting and smiling, ready to share a slice of his fruitcake with riders that pass by.

For the last 22 years, Haunted Mansion Holiday has offered a unique and massive gingerbread display in the ballroom scene of the ride to celebrate the Halloween and holiday seasons.

Last year’s display showed Lock, Shock, and Barrel taking over the mansion.

Haunted Mansion Holiday returns to Disneyland Park today, September 1, 2023.

The overlay includes figures of various ā€œThe Nightmare Before Christmasā€ characters, including Jack Skellington, Sally, and Oogie Boogie. A unique gingerbread house is displayed in the ballroom scene each year. Lock, Shock, and Barrel were atop last yearā€™s gingerbread house.
