The Zombie de Dance scare zone has returned for Halloween Horror Nights 2023 at Universal Studios Japan. The terrifying party features killer dance moves, frightening clowns, and the ruler of darkness himself.
Zombie de Dance Scare Zone at Universal Studios Japan
We saw this Zomdie de Dance performance in the New York section of Universal Studios Japan. According to the official Universal Studios Japan website, there is no permanently scheduled showtime.
A number of festively dressed Crew Members take the stage and teach the audience some easy-to-replicate choreography, and once the audience catches on, the party commences. The beat, created in collaboration with Japanese artist Ado, drops, and the on-stage performers pick up their pace. They are then joined by Hamikuma, who shows off a few dance moves of his own.
The Halloween Horror Nights Japan icon is quickly joined by Hamikuma Soul, who appears on a platform above the stage.
Hamikuma and Hamikuma Soul lead the on-stage performance. After a few moments, performers dressed as escaped prisoners and deranged clowns (among other frightening characters) surround the audience and lead a new dance. The entire audience follows along as acrobatics ensue on the stage.
