Take your favorite characters on the go with you with new magnet-hand plushes that recently debuted across Walt Disney World Resort. New plush depictions of Lotso, a “Toy Story” alien (a.k.a. Little Green Men), and Olaf were recently released at the resort; they have magnets in their hands, allowing you can hang them from a keychain, belt loop, or anything you please. We found these plushes at Disney Clothiers in Magic Kingdom; the Olaf plush is also available in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT.
Lotso Magnet-Hand Plush – $14.99
Lotso comes with his arms extended outward, as though he’s offering a hug and living up to his full “Lots-o’Huggin’ Bear” name. His long arms, like all the other plushes in this set, come together and connect via magnets, allowing him to hang from objects.
The plush itself is an accurate depiction of Lotso as he’s seen in “Toy Story 3,” the 2010 film in which he debuted. Fluffy red fur covers his body and borders his white snout, hands, stomach, and feet. His large nose and fluffy eyebrows are a slightly darker shade of magenta than his fur.
The fur wraps around his entire body. It also covers his ears and small tail.
‘Toy Story’ Squeeze Toy Alien Magnet-Hand Plush – $14.99
If you’d prefer to carry a more affable character from the “Toy Story” franchise around, the Little Green Men Man plush may be what you’re looking for. The aliens have appeared in every mainline film in the “Toy Story” series and even in the “Buzz Lightyear of Star Command” animated television show; this particular alien is a vibrant green hue and is donning a skin-tight blue spacesuit. The ringed pizza icon from the Pizza Planet logo is embroidered on his chest.
The suit covers most of his body, sans his head and magnetic hands. The bottom of his feet is a slightly darker shade of blue than the rest of the suit.
Olaf Magnet-Hand Plush – $14.99
You can take Olaf to the sunny oasis he’s long dreamed of visiting with this magnet-hand plush. Though this depiction of Olaf isn’t entirely accurate to his appearance in “Frozen” and “Frozen 2,” it hits the hallmarks; the plush’s long brown arms look akin to tree branches and visibly contain circular magnets in the hands.
Olaf’s head and body are white and snow-like, just as they are in the films, but his head is truncated and appears much shorter than usual. The same can be said for his orange carrot nose and head-topping hair-like twigs — they’re quite small on this plush.
The back of his body is plain white and features no detailing.
Small plush toys with magnetic hands have appeared throughout Walt Disney World Resort in the past, and they’re just one of several merchandise options that the resort offers for those looking to take their favorite characters on the go. Shoulder plushes are sold throughout the parks; these small toys feature magnets at their base and are designed to sit on your shoulder.
