Ursula Tart – $6.49
Vanilla tart filled with spice cake, chocolate ganache, blackberry pearls, blackberry mousse, and chocolate décor
This is a great-looking, unique treat. The blackberry mousse on top is fruity and fluffy, giving the tart a summery vibe at first.
But as you make your way down the tart, the feeling changes. The spice cake and dark chocolate bring you back to fall.
The blackberry pearls also add a nice texture.
When all the flavors are mixed together, the blackberry flavor almost disappears. The spice cake is the real showstopper.
The punch of the spice cake might turn kids off from this treat, but it would be a great adult dessert. It is heavy between the spice cake and chocolate ganache, so don’t expect a light treat.
Captain Hook Cookie – $6.29
Vanilla sable with strawberry jam, peanut butter ganache, buttercream, and chocolate décor
From an aesthetic standpoint, this is a fun-looking treat. It’s rather small, but it definitely captures the appearance of Captain Hook and would be good for Instagram pictures.
When it comes to taste, this is kind of like a dessert Uncrustable.
The red sable cookies are moist and wafer-like. Between them is the strawberry jam, in the center of the peanut butter ganache.
The strawberry jam hits you right away. It has a strong flavor but goes well with the creamy peanut butter ganache, which is reminiscent of cookie dough.
The treat is rimmed with a light buttercream that also pairs nicely with the jam and peanut butter.
If you like peanut butter and jelly, this is for you. If you don’t, then we suggest skipping this treat. It’s also pretty small compared to some other Halloween treats. After a few bites, you’re done.
