PHOTOS: After Just 3 Months, The Worlds of Pixar Backdrop is Already Walled Off for Repairs

Just three months after its original unveiling, the Worlds of Pixar backdrop is already undergoing some repairs in Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris.

The Worlds of Pixar backdrop was first unveiled in July of this year, replacing the Mickey’s Toontown “Toon Plaza” photo area.

Blue construction walls now block off all access to the space.

In this photo, you can see some of the sticker application beginning to peel up, along with various dirt marks on the balloons.

The art of Luca peeking out a window shows significant damage, with a whole horizontal section of the art having peeled away, revealing white underneath. A short section of scaffolding is already in place here to prepare for the repair process.

Various cuts and overlapping are present throughout the backdrop, like here between Mei and Sulley. Just below the art of Mei, you can see a curved tear in the art of a character waving.

Here’s a closer look. You can also see a huge ripple in the art to the left of the waving character.
