Following the White Rabbit through the rabbit hole apparently leads to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, as Walt Disney World has announced an upcoming “Alice in Wonderland”-inspired New Year’s Eve celebration at California Grill. The Alice’s Whimsical World of Wonderland event will allow guests to ring in 2024 in a Wonderland-like setting; it will cost $799, including gratuity and applicable tax.

The restaurant, located on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, will transform into Wonderland for the one-night event. Characters from the iconic 1951 Walt Disney-produced film will appear, with Walt Disney World mentioning Alice, The Mad Hatter, and The March Hare by name. The Doorknob and Dinah the Hat Lady will also be present, with Disney also warning guests to “beware of the Queen of Hearts.”

Guests will be required to pay the entire $799 charge at the time of booking in order to experience the immersive party. Those attending the event will be able to indulge in exclusive custom cocktails and food items “inspired by Lewis Carrol’s imaginative stories;” food stations include the Chilled Appetizer Station, Wood-Burning Station, Sushi Station, Hot Seafood Station, a Grill and Rotisserie Station, and a Sweet Treats station.

Guests are encouraged to wear fine clothing and participate in a champagne toast when the clock strikes midnight. The event will run from 7:30 P.M. to 12:30 A.M. Additional offerings at the event include a “fanciful ice sculpture” and musical playlist curated by the White Rabbit, who serves as the event’s DJ.
