2023 Distribution Schedule Announced for Hand-Pulled Candy Canes at Disneyland Resort

Few things evoke the aura of the holiday season quite like a good old-fashioned candy cane, and you’ll soon be able to get your hands on some of the iconic festive treats at Disneyland Resort. The 2023 distribution schedule for the resort’s famous handmade seasonal delights was recently announced on Instagram.

The DisneyEats Instagram account shared this year’s distribution schedule on November 17. The 18-inch candy canes will be available at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure at the following locations and on the following dates:

  • Disneyland Park: Candy Palace on December 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, and 24
  • Disney California Adventure: Trolley Treats on December 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, and 25

The post also confirmed that a mobile waitlist system will be implemented. This is different than a mobile ordering system, as the candy canes cannot be ordered through mobile devices.

The Instagram post disclosed the following about the waitlist system:

For a chance to purchase one of the candy canes this year, a moble waitlist system will be used, as quantities are very limited. Once the mobile waitlist is activated, you can add your name and phone number at the location to receive a text back with a time to return to the location for the opportunity to purchase your candy cane, subject to availability.

Each guest can purchase one candy cane per day.

The mobile waitlist system was introduced years ago in an attempt to answer demand, assure quantity, and quell long waits. Wait times fluctuate based on park attendance and demand; in 2021, it took roughly two hours for us to be called back to Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure after joining the waitlist.

Jumbo candy canes are a Disneyland Resort tradition that dates back to 1968.
