If ringing in the holiday season with a festive cookie and warm beverage sounds appetizing to you, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has you covered. The separately ticketed event, which runs at Magic Kingdom on select nights between November 9 and December 22, offers complimentary treats to partygoers; we were able to pick up all of the cookies and beverages during the first night of the party.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Complimentary Treats
The treats are available at five different dining locations throughout Magic Kingdom, with each restaurant offering its own unique cookie. Disney announced the full list of participating venues earlier this week; they’re the same locations that offered complimentary treats last year.
Tortuga Tavern – Buttercream-Frosted Gingerbread Cookie & Eggnog
Treat locations are indicated by a candy-cane striped rectangle on the official Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party map and with an inflatable peppermint stick outside each venue. Tortuga Tavern, a quick-service venue located across from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in the Adventureland section of the park, is serving free buttercream-frosted gingerbread cookies and eggnog to partygoers.
The buttercream frosting is white and doesn’t feature any special detailing or decor. Tortuga Tavern offered sugar cookies with green buttercream frosting alongside a small cup of eggnog last year.
Pinocchio Village Haus – Red Velvet Cake Cookie & Hot Chocolate
New to the Pinocchio Village Haus — and the offered complimentary treats, in general — this year is the red velvet cake cookie. The treat does not contain any frosting, but there are a few M&Ms throughout.
The red velvet cake cookie is served alongside a cup of hot chocolate. The Pinocchio Village Haus served a buttercream-frosted gingerbread cookie and hot cocoa last year (This cookie is available at Tortuga Tavern this year).
Columbia Harbour House – Chocolate Chip Cookie & Hot Chocolate
The Columbia Harbour House is the only location in the Liberty Square section of Magic Kingdom that’s offering complimentary treats. The quick-service restaurant sticks to its traditional roots with its free items, serving a classic chocolate chip cookie alongside a cup of hot cocoa.
The restaurant offered the same complimentary treats last year.
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe – Snickerdoodle & Hot Chocolate
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe is one of two Tomorrowland dining locations to offer complimentary treats.
The venue is offering a snickerdoodle cookie. It’s also another location at which you can grab a complimentary cup of hot cocoa.
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe offered the same two items last year.
The Launching Pad – Buttercream-Frosted Sugar Cookie & Apple Cider
The Launching Pad, also located in the Tomorrowland section of Magic Kingdom, is the lone location offering apple cider. It serves the beverage alongside a sugar cookie with a green buttercream frosting and white sprinkles.
The Launching Pad offered near-identical treats last year, serving apple cider alongside a sugar cookie with red buttercream frosting.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Four Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates are sold out, including the last party before Christmas day. Ticket prices vary depending on the date, from $159 to $199 for adults and $149 to $189 for kids (ages 3 to 9). Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket.
During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, guests can enjoy Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and rare character meet and greets. There is also exclusive merchandise.
Beginning this year, a brand-new “Frozen”-inspired show called “Frozen Holiday Surprise” will be performed at Magic Kingdom, during regular park hours and during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
