Disney’s Wish

Wish is an all-new musical-comedy welcoming audiences to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha (Ariana deBose), a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force — a little ball of boundless energy called Star.
Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe — the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico (Chris Pine) — to save her community and prove that when the will one one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.
A display guide explains each piece of art and lists the names of the artists who created them.
The lobby has added graphics from “Wish” to various columns.
The doors to the theater feature graphics of King Magnifico and Asha.
After watching the sneak preview, guests are given an activity pack themed to the film.
‘Wish’
“Wish” is an animated musical that uses a mix of traditional and 3D animation. The film follows Asha (Ariana Debose), a sharp-witted idealist who makes a wish upon a star that changes the fate of her entire kingdom. The movie also features Chris Pine as King Magnifico and Alan Tudyk as Valentino, a talking goat.
The film is directed by Chris Buck (“Frozen,” “Frozen II”) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Raya and the Last Dragon”) from a script penned by Buck, Allison Moore (“Night Sky”), and Walt Disney Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer Jennifer Lee (who also worked on both “Frozen” films). According to its directors, “Wish” will feature several legacy nods to films from the Walt Disney Animation Studios library.
Promotion for the new film has been prevalent throughout the past several weeks. In mid-October, Disney announced intentions to release a song from the film each Wednesday until its release; “This Wish,” “This Is The Thanks I Get?!,” “Welcome to Rosas,” and “I’m A Star” are the tracks that have been previewed thus far.
Asha debuted as a meet-and-greet character at EPCOT on November 1, with a new collection of “Wish” merchandise landing at Walt Disney World Resort a few days later. A “Wish”-themed light show will debut on the exterior of Spaceship Earth at EPCOT on November 22 to coincide with the film’s release.
Asha will make her way to Disneyland Park as a meet-and-greet character on November 22. She will also debut at Disneyland Paris at some point in the future.
