For the first time since 2019, guests are once again able to meet Santa Claus at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the holidays. This year, however, Santa is meeting in a new location than previous years.

Meeting Santa Claus at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Prior to the pandemic, guests could meet Santa Claus (and later Santa Goofy) in the Once Upon a Time merchandise location on Sunset Boulevard.

After only appearing at the park in a motorcade from 2020-2022, Santa Claus has moved his meet and greet over to It’s a Wonderful Shop in Grand Avenue, a former holiday ornament merchandise location.

To meet Santa, guests have to sign up for a waitlist via text message. This sign reads:

Please provide us wiht your US 10-digit mobile number to recieve text message alerts when it is time to return.

You will receive two (2) text message alerts from us.

Message and data rates apply. Privacy Policy is available at DisnePrivacyCenter.com.

Upon signing up, you’ll receive a message confirming your spot on the waitlist. When it’s your turn, you’ll get a second text message asking you to return to It’s a Wonderful Shop.

The exterior of the former shop is perpetually decorated for the holidays. Stanchions have been set up outside where guests can to line up.

The displays inside the store have been removed to make room for Santa’s set-up.

The cash wrap, however, is still present at the back of the shop next to a large Christmas tree.

Various holiday décor is set up throughout the shop.

Santa wears his trademark red suit, and sits on a plush green couch.

A Disney PhotoPass photographer is present to take photos of guests.
