The first two episodes of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” reached a record-breaking 13.3 million viewers in its first six days of streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Breaks Disney+ Record
Viewers are showing their love for “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” the series based on Rick Riordan’s young adult fantasy novels. In its first six days of streaming on both Disney+ and Hulu, the show has racked up 13.3 million views. Per ComicBook.com, Disney has said that those numbers make the show “the top Disney Branded Television premiere of all time” as well as “one of the top five season premieres of 2023.”
In comparison, before the premiere of “Percy Jackson,” the top Disney-branded television premiere was “Goosebumps,” which drew in 4.2 million views in its first three days.
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” premiered on Disney+ and Hulu on December 19 at 9 p.m. EST in a surprise early release. New episodes will drop on Disney+ weekly, until the finale of season one on January 31. Hulu will not host future episodes.
