Over the Falls
Maelstrom fans, this is for you!
This brand-new oil painting is called “Over The Falls” and it will debut for the first time on January 12 at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
Zero hate for “Frozen”… I’m just remembering an old friend in Maelstrom. The cool air on a hot day, the dark and relaxing environment that surrounded you, the strangely adorable creatures peeking out at the water, the sounds, the comfort of knowing and visiting an old friend.
Maelstrom hasn’t been gone that long, but I tend to lean into nostalgia when I think about it.
So, this painting is for all my fellow Maelstrom fans. We respect change, we acknowledge its importance. And while we embrace the new, we also take pride in being part of EPCOT’s history as someone who keeps the past alive with stories of Maelstrom. “Over The Falls” is a story of Maelstrom.

Full Circle
And as long as we’re talking about nostalgia…
“Full Circle” made me feel all the feels. I went with a color palette that I felt encompassed those emotions, and hopefully will resonate with you as well.
I’m certain many of us Disney fans are familiar with the story of how a carousel influenced Walt and the Disney we know today. A place for families, a place for his family, a place where strangers become family.
I’m hoping many of you will connect with the story in this painting. If you do, share your story please! I’d love to hear it.

Father And Son
Do you recognize this savanna? Have you journeyed many times in hopes of spotting the beautiful and, at times, elusive lions napping on the rocks? And when you see them, does the music from “The Lion King” rise triumphantly in your ears and your chest? Surely it’s not just me.
In this brand new painting, I imagined Mufasa and Simba sharing one of their father and son moments that always touched us right in the heart… this time right in the middle of the Harambe Savanna.

Undersea Adventure
Hands up if you’ve been lucky enough to see divers while you were visiting The Living Seas at EPCOT!
If you attended the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, then you might have seen this painting while it was in progress. I painted “Undersea Adventure” live throughout the Festival, finished it up recently and I’m ready to release the original oil painting at the upcoming 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts starting on January 12!
“Undersea Adventure” is a special piece featuring not only your favorite mice, but also three amazing dolphins that you might recognize from The Living Seas at EPCOT. In fact, if you look closely, you might even notice there are markings and characteristics that match the dolphins who call The Living Seas home. A huge thank you to my friends on the marine mammal team who helped me to be sure these friendly swimmers were accurately represented.

Racing at Radiator Springs
Radiator Springs in [Disney] California Adventure is beyond beautiful. The very first time I saw it, the very first time I turned to walk down the road into it, I was blown away. And then when the sunset festivities began… I mean, wow. Kudos to all involved! You truly feel like you’ve been taken directly into the movie.
And when my window of time to ride Radiator Springs Racers finally came (RIP FastPass), I knew Disney memories were being made and that I’d return again and again to once again experience the thrill of taking those first few humps and starting to pick up speed. I got off the ride (a triumphant first race) and immediately got back in the standby line for a second go.
For my painting, I wanted to particularly capture that moment after the first few lazy curves when the humpty-bumps begin and the speed takes over… and that excitement you feel with your friends as you start to soar and race along the roads.
I definitely wanted to include some of the fun road signs as well that make the attraction so much fun to enjoy even standing on the outside watching the cars go by.
I’m heading back out to California in March and Radiator Springs Racers is already calling my name.
- Racing At Radiator Springs – 18×36
- Original Oil on Canvas, framed – $9,2500
- Limited Edition, framed, numbered – $595.95

Wildest Ride In The Wilderness
Honestly, my favorite time to ride Big Thunder Mountain is undoubtedly after dark (agree?), but for my painting, I chose to use the colors you’d find in a western sunrise or sunset… that orange and yellow hue that drapes across the landscape… where the tall mountains leave deep shadows, bringing a nearly sepia tone element. I say “nearly” because those spots that catch the sunlight stun us with color sepia could never know.
I can’t wait for you to see the frame I selected for the “Wildest Ride In The Wilderness” original oil painting! Think metal and wood, those same textures you’d find at the attraction.
- Wildest Ride In The Wilderness – 30×40
- Original Oil on Canvas, framed – $10.5500
- Limited Edition, framed, numbered – $595.95
- Rolled Canvas, open edition – $195.95

Starfighter
We all loved the Razor Crest, but let’s be honest about the modified N-1 Starfighter – is kinda amazing. Aside from being super fast, it’s a ship that Din Djarin actually had a hand in building, alongside Peli Motto. Plus, there’s the perfect spot for Grogu to “ride shotgun.”
I’ve always loved painting Star Wars ships… which I suppose is quite evident if you look at my Star Wars portfolio from throughout the years. So, I feel that this ship-central painting is a return to myself.
Detail is important to me when I paint ships (this is the way). I learned the ship, including every small crevice, bolt, or mark. And this one is no different. I look at scale models, and freeze video to view various angles… and one of my favorite places to look at Star Wars ships is in [Star Wars] Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Have you ever wandered around in Launch Bay and discovered the room filled with models or the former line queue with amazing artwork? Definitely do it next time you’re there.
In the original painting Starfighter, I hope the artwork lets you imagine the next adventure that Din Djarin and Grogu are tackling together.

- Limited Edition, framed, numbered – $595.95

Checked In
We all know that feeling… after a day of travel, you get checked in and you need some time to check out. But who has time for relaxation when you’re on vacation? Right?
How about your last Disney vacation? Did you arrive ready to be on vacation or did you arrive ready to be on vacation? Were you completely pooped out from travel or did you arrive wired and ready to see all the sights? Were you Donald or Daisy when you first got “Checked In”?
There are some things for the keen eye to discover in this painting of Donald and Daisy on their first day of vacation.
- Checked In – 18×24
- Original Oil on Canvas, framed – $6,200
- Limited Edition, framed, numbered – $595.95
- Rolled Canvas, open edition – $195.95

Presenting Disney’s Animal Kingdom
You know I had to do it. Here’s the third in my map series… “Presenting Disney’s Animal Kingdom.“
First, I had Jiminy Cricket present a painted map of the Magic Kingdom (just as Walt did back when he first started unveiling plans). Then, I had Director Mickey present Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And now, who better to present Disney’s Animal Kingdom than Rafiki (just as he presented Simba)?
I say it every time — “No. More. Maps.” Maps are hard. That’s all. But… yeah. How can I not finish the series, right?
Any guesses what park will be next? When people asked that question last year, I reminded them I can’t paint EPCOT until I know what’s behind the construction walls… so I guess we will get one more map in 2025.
So for 2024… [Disney’s] Animal Kingdom! Easily one of my most favorite parks… and easily one of the most difficult maps. Do you guys know how BIG that park is? How spread out it is? How much green space the park has? It was a monster project to design my painting, include all the elements of the park, and still make it feel painterly and quaint and accurate… and fit on an 18×24 canvas.
But I’m happy with the finish painting and I’m thrilled to bring you a new park map!

Rescuing Luke
“Rescuing Luke” is one I painted a few years ago… in fact, it was a published limited edition… but now I’m releasing the original painting exclusively for the first time at the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
You know I love to paint ships of Star Wars, and the Millennium Falcon is [easily] my favorite to paint. As a Star Wars fan myself, I know that some of you can tell what film this was from simply by looking at the version of the Falcon, never mind the scene, right?
I am thrilled to finally give you the original of “Rescuing Luke”!
- Rescuing Luke – 18×36
- Original Oil on Canvas, framed – $9,250
- Limited Edition, framed, numbered – $595.95
- Rolled Canvas, open edition – $195.95
- Gallery Wrap – $149.95
- Matted Print – $49.95
Troopers
“Troopers” is 10×30, oil on canvas, featuring some of my favorite Troopers that have been gifted to us Star Wars fans by the mind of George Lucas. They’re worn (not shiny), they’re intense (definitely not smiling beneath those helmets), and they’re an impactful presence in the films. I wanted to bring that same forceful air of emotional potency into my painting using only the direct stare of the Troopers and effective lighting.
- Troopers – 10×30
- Original Oil on Canvas, framed – $4,300
- Limited Edition, framed, numbered – $595.95
- Rolled Canvas, open edition – $195.95
- Gallery Wrap – $149.95
- Matted Print – $49.95
