The gateway to the now-closed Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been blocked off with props after guests have been tying ribbons to it in honor of their experience on the Halcyon.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Gate Blocked
The gate was through a tunnel next to First Order Cargo.
Banners have also been removed from above the entrance archway. One orange banner remains.
Galactic Starcruiser guests entered Galaxy’s Edge through an archway in the back of the tunnel after a ride on a box truck shuttle. They would then return here for a ride back to the hotel.
The large gates at the back of the tunnel are for Disney vehicles.
Some themed crates now sit in the archway leading to the actual gates.
The sign is blank.
There are two dark gray crates and an orange tube.
Behind the crates, some kind of cabinet is covered in tarps.
We can still see the gates Halcyon guests would walk through, closed and (presumably) locked.
After the immersive Star Wars hotel shuttered, some guests who traveled on the Halcyon tied ribbons to the door’s grate in memory of their experiences — similar to the Wishing Tree on Batuu. Those ribbons have since been entirely removed.
A fingerprint scanner and Halcyon-themed tap point are next to the crates on the right wall.
Watch our video of the box truck shuttle ride below to see what this area looked like from the other direction back when Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was still operational.
