CONCEPT ART: First Look at New Art Nouveau Shanghai Disney Resort Hotel

Shanghai Disney Resort released the first piece of concept art for their third hotel. The hotel was announced when construction began in September with a groundbreaking ceremony.

The concept art showcases a hotel with art nouveau architecture and gardens in front of the porte-cochère. The art nouveau style is characterized by organic lines and curves. The hotel will be infused with Disney storytelling and pay homage to Shanghai’s 20th-century architectural legacy. The building is white with accents of green and gold. Squared-off trees line the drive. It will be on the shores of Wishing Star Lake with views of Shanghai Disneyland.

The new hotel will “immerse [guests] in spaces and activities which showcase Disney characters and stories” as well as include new dining, shopping, and entertainment.

Shanghai Disney Resort has not yet announced a name for the deluxe hotel, which will be the smallest of the three at Shanghai Disney Resort with only 400 rooms. The other two hotels are the 420-room Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and the 795-room Toy Story Hotel.
