Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort have launched a new “Disney Bicoastal Adventures” series of pins celebrating attractions that exist at both resorts. The first in the collection is a Space Mountain pin. The first version of the coaster opened at Magic Kingdom in 1975, and was followed by a second Space Mountain at Disneyland in 1977.
Limited Edition Bicoastal Adventures Space Mountain Pin – $19.99
The Space Mountain pin has a green frame with a black Mickey ear hat on the top. At the top left of the frame is a blue pennant with the Disneyland logo. On the top right is a red pennant with the Walt Disney World logo. Inside the frame is a sliding piece that reads “I Conquered Space Mountain,” with the first two words in white and the second two words in red. “Tomorrowland” is in black at the bottom.
On the right edge of the sliding piece are Chip ‘n’ Dale in white spacesuits. Behind the slider is an image of the iconic Space Mountain building.
Sliding the piece back and forth reveals either the words “Space Station” or “Starport.” Within the ride’s minimal story, the Disneyland version of the attraction is Space Station 77 while the Walt Disney World version of the attraction is Starport Seven-Five (or Tomorrowland Station MK-1).
The pin has a limited edition size of 4,000. We found it at Frontier Trading Post in Magic Kingdom and 20th Century Music Company at Disneyland Park.
