Tortilla Jo’s, located in the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, has announced its closing date.
Tortilla Jo’s Closing in Downtown Disney District
In an email sent out to customers, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user RyanTheme Park, Tortilla Jo’s shared that their final day of service will be March 31, 2024.
We called the restaurant to confirm the closure, and were told that the location would be “transferring to a new restaurant” that would still serve Mexican food, but with a whole new menu. We have reached out to Patina Restaurant Group for a statement to confirm, but have not heard back yet.
In addition, the Taqueria will reportedly remain open until April 13, 2024.
At Tortilla Jo’s, guests can enjoy table service Mexican fare set against a festive backdrop, right in the heart of the Downtown Disney District.
The reimagining of the Downtown Disney District has been well underway, working toward its projected completion sometime later this year. Various other restaurants have closed during this period, including Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar, which will be replaced by Paseo and Centrico, a new Mexican restaurant.
Most recently, a temporary pop-up location for Earl of Sandwich has begun to take shape. The sandwich shop is moving out of its current, also temporary location to make way for Porto’s Bakery & Eatery.
