While Disney’s federal lawsuit against Governor Ron DeSantis and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District is heading to an appellate court, state-level lawsuits are still ongoing.

After Judge Allen Winsor dismissed the federal lawsuit this week, Disney filed a notice of intent to appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Governor DeSantis is calling this a “mistake.”
“They should move on,” he said at a Jacksonville news conference on Thursday. (via Fortune)
Meanwhile, Disney filed a motion for entry of protective order in the District’s state lawsuit against them. The motion asked the judge to seal some documents Disney produced in the case because they contain “confidential information, including trade secret and other nonpublic technical, commercial, financial, personal, and other sensitive information, the disclosure of which could result in significant harm to the producing party’s personal rights or business operations.”
The judge granted the protective order. It does not prevent Disney from producing documents essential to the case, just restricts who can see them.
In December, Disney also filed another lawsuit against the District for failure to produce documents and comply with public records law.
