Disney, Warner Bros. and Fox Teaming Up for New Sports Streaming App

Disney, Fox Corp., and Warner Bros. Discovery will launch a new joint streaming venture bundling all of their sports channels together.

The landmark team-up will put Disney’s ESPN, Warner Bros.’ TNT, and Fox Sports all in one app. Each company will own one-third of the app, which will have a new brand and an independent management team, according to Variety.

The app is scheduled to launch this fall.

This news comes a week after Nelson Peltz suggested Disney team up with Netflix for sports streaming. In the past, Disney CEO Bob Iger indicated he was looking for a partner for ESPN, which saw a decrease in profits.
