“Ice Cold Hydraulics” has been painted on the side of the new “Grand Avenue Coke Kiosk” in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Ice Cold Hydraulics
The newly painted sign is on the side of the kiosk facing the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge entrance. Below “Ice Cold Hydraulics” is “Los Angeles, California.”
Grand Avenue is themed to modern-day downtown Los Angeles, filled with vintage office buildings and warehouses that pay homage to the city’s districts. The vintage-style painted sign fits right into this, further grounding Grand Avenue as another corner of L.A.
“Ice Cold” is in small black lettering above “Hydraulics,” which is in large red lettering. “Los Angeles, California” is in black cursive.
According to the land’s backstory, just across the street, Baseline Tap House sits in the former building of the Figueroa Printing Company, a mom-and-pop print house that had ties to the Disney studios in nearby Burbank. As such, “Ice Cold Hydraulics” may not be the official name for this kiosk, and could just be another story or theming element.
The kiosk will sell beverages. A construction permit referred to the kiosk as the Grand Avenue Coke Kiosk.
The name will also be painted on the front of the kiosk facing the street. We previously saw crew members tracing the letters of “Hydraulics” and the kiosk address on the front, figuring out how much space was needed for the words. See the photo below.
This side appears to be the front of the kiosk, with a metal bar just visible above the construction walls for lights and/or more signage.
Grand Avenue is home to Muppet*Vision 3D, located between Star Tours and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
