The Jurassic World-themed roller coaster has been closed for two full days now. According to an Inside Universal forum user, the ride was closed most of Saturday, February 3, and in the evening on Sunday, February 4. It was in operation during the day on Sunday, with only two trains running on the track. Today, February 7, Universal is hoping to reopen the attraction but it is still closed as of 11:10 a.m.

The doors from the Jurassic Park Discovery Center into the VelociCoaster courtyard are closed but we could see more team members in the courtyard. We also saw red tape with caution signs up at either end of the bridge, which is currently inaccessible to guests.

At least one of the vehicles had test dummies in the backseats.

With each passing day of the closure, Universal fans and guests online became more and more concerned about whether the ride would eventually reopen. Some even reached out to Universal directly on social media for updates.

According to sources, the closure was due to technical issues with the roller coaster, and crews reportedly waiting for a replacement part to arrive.

Stay tuned for further updates.
