The second pin in the Bicoastal Adventures series available at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort is inspired by Soarin’. This series celebrates attractions that exist on both coasts. The first Bicoastal Adventures pin was inspired by Space Mountain.

Limited Edition Bicoastal Adventures Soarin’ Pin – $19.99

Like the Space Mountain pin, this one has a green frame with a blue Disneyland pennant, a red Walt Disney World pennant, and a black Mickey ear hat on the top. The pin comes on a blue and red backing card reading “Bicoastal Adventures” and featuring Sleeping Beauty Castle and Cinderella Castle.

Mickey, dressed in a pilot’s uniform, is attached to a light blue sliding piece in the frame that reads “We are cleared for takeoff” with the Soarin’ wordmark at the bottom. Beneath the slider on the left side is a blue hang glider flying over the green aircraft hangar in Grizzly Peak Airfield at Disney California Adventure. The original version of Soarin’, Soarin’ Over California, opened with the park in 2001.

Sliding the piece over reveals The Land Pavilion at EPCOT with a red plane flying above. The ride opened in The Land Pavilion at EPCOT in 2005.

A new version of the ride, Soarin’ Around the World, was introduced at Disney California Adventure and EPCOT in 2016. This version takes guests to destinations all over the world instead of just California. But Soarin’ Over California has returned to both parks (more often Disney California Adventure) for limited engagements over the past eight years. Soarin’ Over California is currently available at EPCOT, first returning for the 100th anniversary last year.

We found the pin in Pin Traders at EPCOT. Though we haven’t found it at Disneyland Resort yet, it is likely already available or will be available soon. It has a limited edition size of 4,000.
