The new “Wish” topiary display has arrived ahead of the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which begins on February 28.
“Wish” Topiary
Debuting for the first time at this year’s EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, the display features the film’s main character, Asha, and her two sidekicks, Star and Valentino. Star, the Wishing Star, floats above Asha’s left hand.
Valentino, Asha’s goat friend who gains the ability to speak after wishing on Star, stands beside her, to the left. Asha’s dress is made of florals of different shades of purple and green. Her braids are made of long strands of greenery. Star appears to be primarily non-floral, with just small flowers bursting from below the figure. The display can be found at the main entrance of the park.
Valentino is mostly brown, with just his body being made up of greenery. This topiary set is one of three new topiaries debuting at this year’s festival, with the other two being a Groot topiary inspired by “Guardians of the Galaxy” and complete with it’s own mixtape of “Guardians” soundtrack songs, and one inspired by “Coco,” featuring Miguel and Dante.
Guests can see the “Wish” topiary during the run of the Flower & Garden festival from February 28 throught May 27. In addition to the new topiaries, there will be two new Global Gardens, and over 60 new menu items.
“Wish,” released in 2023, celebrates 100 years of Disney, honoring the concept of the wishing star that has been used in films throughout Disney’s history. It blends the look of both traditional animation and computer animation, and offers Disney fans a number of easter eggs. The film stars Ariana DeBose (Asha), Chris Pine (King Magnifico), and Alan Tudyk (Valentino). It is available to stream now on Disney+.
