Refurbishment work has moved to the front of Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Magic Kingdom. Scrim went up on the back of the shop in late December. These are now gone, with scrim blocking the small courtyard in front of the store instead.

Scrim and rolling planters were previously in front of the side wall in this photo. It’s now clear of construction materials and appears to have just been repainted.

Now, rolling planters are to the sides of the front courtyard. Dark scrim is up behind the courtyard fence and over the entrance archway. There is usually a sleigh for photos and some seating in this courtyard.

The courtyard faces Sleepy Hollow across the Liberty Square walkway.

Behind the scrim and planters, we could see that the staircase in the courtyard was completely gone. The staircase leads to a second-floor door but is not for guest use.

The platform in front of the door remains and is covered in scrim. There is one white post from the staircase still attached to the brick wall next to the door.

Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe remains open during the exterior refurbishment work. It sells holiday decorations, including ornaments and stockings, plus offers personalization services.
