The 7 Best AND Worst Food & Drinks at the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival

We reviewed all of the new menu items at this year’s EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Now we’re bringing you the top 7 best and the top 7 worst.

The Worst 7

First up, the best of the worst:

#7 – Mango Bubble Tea (Lotus House)

A plastic cup with a yellow drink and dark boba at the bottom.

This was basically just mango juice; the boba was flavorless. It was a waste.

#6 – Watermelon-Strawberry Lemonade (Hanami)

A clear plastic cup with a cloudy red drink.

This was terrible. It was like the worst juice we’ve ever had. The one with Sake was slightly better, but the non-alcoholic one was disgusting.

#5 – Biscuit and Gravy with Impossible Chicken Fried Steak and Impossible Sausage Gravy (BRUNCHCOT)

A white bowl with a biscuit covered in white gravy.

This was dry and flavorless. It wasn’t good by any standard, not just because the vegan sausage was bad.

#4 – Floral Margarita (Jardin de Fiestas)

Cherry Liqueur, Mezcal, Hibiscus Tea, and Lime Juice

A red cocktail in a plastic souvenir cup featuring floral designs and the booth logo.

It was a little medicinal with a fruit flavor thrown in.

#3 – Lychee Margarita (Jardin de Fiestas)

Centinela Blanco Tequila, Lychee Liqueur, Citrus Juice and Agave Nectar

A clear plastic cup with a clear cocktail.

This was even worse than the Floral Margarita. It was very medicinal with no redeeming qualities.

#2: Strawberry Basil Sorbet in a Waffle Cone (Swirled Showcase)

Strawberry Basil Sorbet in a Waffle Cone

It was very disappointing. Compared to the other successful items we’ve had from Swirled Showcase, this just couldn’t hold up. Even the texture was off.

#1: The Worst — Chocolate Cannoli (Primavera Kitchen)

Chocolate-Covered Cannoli Shell with Peanut Butter-Ricotta Filling

A white paper dish with a chocolate cannoli.

The peanut butter ricotta filling is fantastic, but unfortunately, the shell is terrible. It’s powdered and tastes like chalk. It ruins the dish.

The Best 7

Next up, we’ll start with the worst of the best.

#7: Liquid Nitro Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake (Swirled Showcase)

with Fresh Honey, Granulated Honey, Honey Mead Blueberry Compote Presented by National Honey Board

Liquid Nitro Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake

It looks like scrambled eggs, but it’s delicious. We found ourselves craving it still at the end of the day.

#6 – Funnel Cake (Funnel Cake)

with Powdered Sugar, Vanilla Ice Cream, Strawberries, Whipped Cream, Strawberry Glaze and Strawberry Crunch

strawberry funnel cake

The funnel cake is always good. It’s hard to fail when the base is funnel cake, powdered sugar, and vanilla ice cream. The strawberry toppings were all good complements.

#5: Honey-Peach Cobbler Freeze (The Honey Bee-stro Hosted by National Honey Board)

with Blueberry Vodka and streusel

A clear plastic cup overfilled with white slush and topped with streusel.

Both the non-alcoholic and alcoholic were good, but the blueberry vodka really elevated the alcoholic version. You can’t go wrong either way.

#4 – Impossible Jamaican Beef Patty (La Isla Fresca)

with Spicy Papaya Syrup

A cardboard dish with an empanada-style pastry covered in sauce.

This was absolutely delicious. It’s also a big serving stuffed full of Impossible beef. We’ll be back again and again for this.

#3 – Key Lime Wine Slush (The Citrus Blossom)

A plastic margarita glass overflowing with lime green slush.

This was super tart and very refreshing. It was the perfect Key Lime beverage.

#2 – Plant-Based Buffalo Chicken Tender Poutine (Refreshment Port)

on Crispy Potato Barrels with Plant-Based Ranch and Blue Cheese Crumbles

Plant-Based Buffalo Chicken Tender Poutine

The blue cheese was spot on for a vegan version. The whole dish was delicious and it’s a generous serving that’s easily sharable.

#1 – Grilled Warm Water Lobster Tail (Florida Fresh)

with Key Lime Butter

A white rectangular plate with a grilled lobster tail.

This is phenomenal. It’s a large, thick piece of tasty lobster meat. The butter has a hint of key lime that makes it a touch above the norm.
