With the impending permanent closure of Space Mountain at Tokyo Disneyland, the attraction is celebrating its “Final Ignition,” and the merchandise collection has been revealed. The merchandise will be released on April 8, 2024.
Space Mountain: The Final Ignition Merchandise
Postcard & Stickers – ¥500
The set comes with one postcard and two stickers. The postcard features the Final Ignition artwork, with a rainbow-colored Space Mountain and the logo beneath it. The top reads, “Before the Future Begins,” part of the closure’s slogan as it is to be replaced by a completely new Space Mountain.
Both stickers have glow in the dark features. One depicts Mickey in his Space costume, while the other is the Final Ignition logo.
Clear File Folder – ¥350
The front of the folder has the same rainbow Space Mountain artwork.
The back has artwork of the building, Mickey, and more, including the design seen on the pin (below).
Pin – ¥1,200
The pin is hexagonal and iridescent with six sections. The three main sections have the Final Ignition logo, Mickey, and “Before the Future Begins” with the new ride’s facade above it. Two of the smaller sections are filled with geometric designs and the bottom section has ride vehicles with tailstreams that extend into the topmost section.
Button – ¥500
The button has the same artwork with the Space Mountain building.
Tomica Ride Vehicle – ¥2,800
The Tomica model ride vehicle features a two-car unit decorated with various related imagery, including Mickey and the ride building.
Light – ¥3,900
A light-up Space Mountain building that also has a planetarium feature will be available.
It lights up both with and without the facade on top. There are options to change the lighting color and for motion.
With the building removed, it projects into the room.
Light-up Toy – ¥2,600
The light up toy comes on a lanyard.
The base has the Final Ignition artwork, while the light-up puck has Mickey against a clear background.
When lit, the clear puck shows art of Space Mountain with a ride vehicle zooming by.
Figure Collection – ¥1,600
There are four figures available in mystery boxes: Mickey, a ship, the Space Mountain building, and a secret option.
Figure Collection Set – ¥6,400
You can also buy the figures as a complete set.
Keychain – ¥900
The keychains come in a similar fashion as the figures. A mystery box containing one of four random designs is available. The designs include Mickey, the rainbow Space Mountain art, the ship, or a surprise option.
Keychain Set – ¥3,600
A box containing all four keychain designs is also available.
Plush Badge – ¥2,500
The plush badge of Mickey shows him in his blue Space costume.
Tumbler – ¥2,500
The tumbler has a gradient blue all-over coloring with the Final Ignition logo in white.
Tissue Box Cover – ¥2,800
The tissue box cover has a striped background in shades of blue with Space Mountain iconography patterned throughout, including the facade, hexagons, and stars. The Final Ignition logo is on the side of the case.
Magnets – ¥2,500
The magnet set includes Mickey, Space Mountain with the spaceship in front, and the Final Ignition logo.
Cushion – ¥4,000
A cushion of the ride vehicle will be available. It has just two seats.
Wash Towel – ¥880
The small wash towel has the hexagonal artwork seen on the pin against a navy background.
Bath Towel – ¥3,600
The large bath towel has the full Final Ignition artwork.
Patch Set – ¥2,200
The patch set comes with three patches: Mickey, hexagons, and the iconic attraction building.
Wristband – ¥800
The glow in the dark wristband is green with the Final Ignition logo.
The Space Mountain building and Tokyo Disneyland logos are on the inside of the wristband.
Ear Headband – ¥2,200
The ear headband is the same as the one released for Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction back in 2020. It’s purple with white velour lining. The ears are covered in silver sequins. The purple bow has a galaxy print with the Space Mountain building in the center.
String Pouch – ¥900
The string pouch has the main artwork on the front and the hexagonal artwork on the back.
Pouch – ¥2,900
A small pouch has a starry blue background and Space Mountain imagery over the print. The Final Ignition logo is on the front.
The back continues the starry pattern with iconography, including the Space Mountain building.
The zipper pull has a large ship.
Patch Badge – ¥3,500
Patch badges featuring the Cast Member costumes and the Space Mountain logo will also be available. They are made from real upcycled Cast Member costumes as part of Tokyo Disney Resort’s “Circulating Smiles” program.
Space Mountain will close permanently on July 31, and the Final Ignition celebrations begin on April 8, including special decor, food & beverage offerings, and more.
The original attraction is set to be demolished, with a new Space Mountain ride being constructed as pictured in the concept art above.
