The new Marvel Artist Series featuring artwork by Sara Pichelli, the co-creator of Miles Morales, has arrived at Disneyland Resort.
Marvel Artist Series
Pichelli is an Italian artist who won a worldwide contest by Marvel in 2008 and has worked for the comics company ever since. Her most recent work is on the new Scarlet Witch solo series. More information about her is on the tags of the merchandise.
We found most of the items in the collection at the Disney Dress Shop in Downtown Disney District. The pin was at Disney’s Pin Traders.
Pin – $17.99
The pin comes on a mostly black backing card featuring artwork of Captain Marvel, Thor, and Black Panther.
The pin itself is diamond-shaped. Captain Marvel, Thor, and Black Panther are pictured close up.
Loungefly Ear Headband – $44.99
The ear headband is mostly made of pleather. It has a removable bow with a paint splatter pattern of purple, blue, yellow, and green. A silver Avengers logo charm is in the center of the bow.
The right ear features Iron Man, The Hulk, and Captain America. They’re set against a light purple background.
Captain Marvel, Thor, and Black Panther are on the left ear. Splatters of blue and yellow are behind them.
The backs of the ears and the headband are solid black. There’s a snap on the back of the bow to remove it if you would rather wear the ears without it.
A plaque on the side of the headband features the Marvel and Loungefly logos.
Loungefly Backpack – $78
The same six Avengers are on the front of this backpack. Captain America is a pleather patch, adding extra dimension to the design. Pink, blue, yellow, and green splatters are behind them.
The bag is mostly white with black accents, including over the front pocket’s zipper.
The straps, handle, and side panels are also black.
A gray Avengers logo is on the back of the bag.
Unlike standard Loungefly backpacks, this one doesn’t have slip pockets on the sides. A Marvel Artist Series tag is next to the zipper on one side.
The interior lining is patterned with rectangles. Each rectangle features a close-up of a different Avenger.
Spirit Jersey – $79.99
The Spirit Jersey is white with black sleeves. Iron Man is pictured on the front, with both of his hands raised and his arc reactor glowing. Behind him is a splatter of yellow and blue.
“Avengers” and “Since 1963” are on the left breast. A Marvel Artist Series tag is below.
The first issue of “The Avengers” was released in September 1963 and featured Ant-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and the Wasp.
Across the back of the jersey are symbols representing the featured characters. These include Thor’s hammer Mjölnir, the Hulk’s fist, Captain America’s shield, Black Panther’s claw necklace, Captain Marvel’s star, and Iron Man’s gauntlet.
Below the symbols are “Heroes. Friends. Visionaries. Legends. Reassembled. Teammates. Avengers.”
