Work is still underway for the Universal Stella Nova and Terra Luna Resorts, opening in anticipation of Universal Epic Universe.
Stella Nova and Terra Luna Construction Update
Pulling up to Universal Blvd., you can see the Terra Luna (left) and the Stella Nova (right). The two resorts are Loews Hotels. The pair of towers can be accessed on Epic Blvd.
Progress on the exterior of the Stella Nova is much further along, which makes sense as, of the two resorts, this one will open first on January 21, 2025. Both hotels are in the process of being covered in colorful reflective tiles that will give them a celestial look. This theming is a carry-through from Epic Universe, as the heart of the new park will be Celestial Park, a cosmic world set between the other worlds of Epic Universe.
This side of the resort is almost entirely covered in colorful tiles, with just a small section (seen on the bottom left in the above photos) uncovered. Per concept art, this section will remain without tile in the final version of the building. Covered in orange safety fencing on the ground in front of the building is what will eventually be the Stella Nova pool. The resort-style pool will be zero-entry with pop-up jets, a hot tub, poolside movies, and more. For reference, this resort location is south of Epic Universe.
Moving over to the Terra Luna resort, far less of the exterior has been covered. A beginning strip of tiles has been added to one of the ends of the hotel. The section below will remain without tile, just like the Stella Nova. Terra Luna will open a month after Stella Nova, on February 25, 2025
On the inside bend of the hotel, more than half of the tiles have been added to the exterior. Late last year, Lowes revealed a look at the hotel’s interior, including room layouts. When we checked the pricing for the two resorts, we found them to be the same, no matter if you chose the Stella Nova or the Terra Luna.
