New photos taken by aerial photographer Bioreconstruct reveal progress being made on Dark Universe, one of the five themed lands that make up Universal Epic Universe.

On Sunday, March 10, 2024, X (formerly Twitter) user Bioreconstruct shared a new look at Dark Universe via a set of aerial images. Above is a shot of the village guests will enter upon walking through the land’s portal. Scaffolding is still up in front of the village buildings, but gravestones around the area where you first walk in have recently been uncovered.

Toward the back of the land, scaffolding has been added to the front of a windmill, which could be in preparation for the addition of the windmill’s blades. Though currently unconfirmed, this windmill will likely sit atop the land’s rumored dining location, Burning Blade Tavern. Based on a location in the 1931 film, “Frankenstein,” we could see a fire effect on the windmill, similar to the Gringotts Dragon in Diagon Alley.

To the left of the Burning Blade Tavern area is a manor facade that is the rumored location of the land’s E-ticket attraction. This is speculated to be called Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. A great deal of scaffolding has been removed from the front of the building compared to a previous visit from Bioreconstruct. Additional greenery has also been added to the front of the building, to the left.

Scaffolding has also come down on the main entrance to the attraction, as seen on the left side of the above image. The entrance is rumored to act as a bridge that will take guests over a moat that surrounds the manor.

Here, we can see an aerial view of Dark Universe’s roller coaster, speculated to be called Curse of the Werewolf. The landscaping around the coaster is really coming along, with additional greenery and paths set in place. The spinning coaster has previously been seen testing, though no vehicles were on the exterior portion of the track that day.

Above is an overall view of the entire land. The large blue circular structure at the right is the future site of a show fountain that’s part of Celestial Park. To the left of that, you can see the portal structure (the concept art below gives a better view of the final product) that’ll be the entrance to Dark Universe. Moving on to the left is a village area, followed by Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment at the far left of the image. Burning Blade Tavern is at the bottom left of the image, with Curse of the Werewolf taking up the entire area in front of it.
