Sources tell WDWNT that the location once home to the Laughin’ Place Play Area will become a seating section with benches. There is reportedly no plan to replace the former play area with something new themed to “The Princess and The Frog” or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Frontierland Railroad Station with walls down

Instead, we’ve learned that construction around the Frontierland Railroad Station will alter the current tunnel entrance to the nearby restrooms. That entrance will close and a new entrance will be in place where the Laughin’ Place Play Area once was. Our sources tell us that it will be around a month before the area will undergo inspections to be reopened.

Demolished Laughin' Place Play Area

Back in December, we covered the demolition of the Laughin’ Place Play Area. The playground, which was themed to Splash Mountain and located under Frontierland Railroad Station was a place for younger guests to play.
