A new culinary experience for children ages 3-11 has debuted at the 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival: Confection Purrfection With the SuperKitties.
“SuperKitties” is a Disney Jr. animated series following a group of four kittens with superpowers who help solve problems around KittyDale. It premiered in 2023 and was recently renewed for a third season.
Confection Purrfection With the SuperKitties
Confection Purrfection With the SuperKitties is held at the Hollywood Backlot Stage.
Registration is required for children to participate. Sign up begins 45 minutes prior to showtime.
Showtimes are:
- Monday-Friday: 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday & Sunday: 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The show is hosted by Jess Kitten, who has many puns to deliver. The children, who are given paper chefs hats, are there to help make birthday cupcakes for the SuperKitties’ number one fan, Pickles, after the birthday cake is stolen.
The SuperKitties only appear on screen. While the SuperKitties have appeared as costumed characters for Disney Jr. Live!, they are not “in person” for this experience.
Minnie Mouse, however, does show up in person to find Figaro, who was invited to the party.
The show has a moral to the story — Cat Burglar stole the cake because he was upset he hadn’t been invited. The SuperKitties decide to invite him to the party as birthdays are for sharing, and no one should be left out (and yes — Bitsy is “taking that to heart”).
Since the SuperKitties recovered the cake, all the junior chefs get to take their cupcakes home.
